This 600 kW / 600 kWh BESS is the heart of the cutting edge microgrid developed by Hydro-Quebec in the municipality of Lac-Megantic. The system is paired with on-site solar energy production and will greatly improve the town's electrical supply.
This 1.2 MW/2.4 MWh utility-scale BESS was the biggest system in Quebec at the time of its commissioning. Its applications: Improve power quality, grid resilience, reactive power, voltage support, as well as peak shaving for the Hydro-Quebec distribution grid.
La Citière Solar + BESS
Located on the south shore of Montreal, the 2 MW / 4 MWh BESS is co-located with a 8 MW solar plant. Its applications: Capacity firming, Volt and VASR control, ramp rate control and solar smoothing.
This 600 kW / 600 kWh energy storage system is located in the isolated and off-grid Inuit community of Quaqtaq, where we are testing the integration of new technologies in off-grid environments so as to optimize the penetration of renewable energy.
The EVLO team brings together a mix of industry experts, trailblazers and entrepreneurs.
